ABOUT THE OVTA

In 1972, a group of professionals within the turfgrass industry recognized the need for a local association.

It was then that the Ottawa Valley Turfgrass Association (OVTA) was founded. Founding members established a forum through which they could encourage and support research, as well as interchange scientific and practical knowledge, relating to the construction and care of turfgrass areas, as it pertained to their own environment. Starting out with fewer than forty members and two events, the OVTA now has over 150 members, in addition to multiple events hosted throughout the year.
