The Rivermead Golf Club has been nationally recognized as an elite club since its inception in 1910. The proximity to the city center of the National Capital, the landscape with its majestic trees, the quality of the course design as well as the condition of the course the members have come to expect and enjoy. From its very beginnings, 10 years after welcoming its first members, the Rivermead Golf Club was chosen to host
the 1920 Canadian Open.
Rivermead Golf Club is laid out over gently rolling terrain. The par 72/75 (men/women) layout is easily
walked. The course has four sets of tees ranging from 6,559 yards from the back, to 5,359 yards from the
forward-most tees. Slope ratings for men range from 130 to 122 and 135 to 123 for women.
Rivermead Golf Club is currently in the process of a master plan restoration project with architect Jeff Mingay tobring the golf course back to some original design concepts which were enjoyed by members under the directionof golf course architect Charles Murray.
