The equipment manager/mechanic is responsible for the daily maintenance of all golf course equipment including the clubs golf carts.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have experience in small engine repair, diesel engines, welding, electrical diagnosis, general knowledge of hydraulic systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical components in starters, engines, batteries etc.
- Experience in grinding reels and bedknives and replacing seals and bearings
- Ability to keep accurate maintenance records of all repairs and ensure all equipment is ready to go when not out on the golf course.
- Ability and willingness to train staff on all golf course equipment
- Ensure a safe, clean and productive work environment at all times
- Inspect and maintain fleet of 90 golf carts
- Operate all department equipment in a responsible safe manner at all times
- Act as an ambassador for Metcalfe Golf and as a role model for staff at all times
- Maintain a pleasant and professional manner at all times when addressing employees’ contractors, sales personnel and or any guests
- Perform additional duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation
- At least 2 Years working as a mechanic is required
- At least 2 years working on a golf course is an asset, but not required
- Must be able to fabricate tools and equipment
- Must be able to weld
- Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision
- Work flexible hours as required including early mornings, nights/weekends and holidays
Compensation
Full time salaried position for 12 month a year will be paid based on experience and qualifications
