Le Sorcier Golf Club is currently seeking a Mechanic.

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the Golf Course Superintendent, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the repair and maintenance of equipment used in golf course operations.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule for all gasoline, diesel, and electric-powered equipment.
2. Perform repairs and maintenance on all grounds maintenance equipment.
3. Be responsible for sharpening and adjusting mowing equipment.
4. Apply administrative procedures related to garage operations.
5. Ensure the workplace remains clean and safe.
6. Participate in supplier training sessions as required.

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum two (2) years of experience in general mechanics. Knowledge of diesel engines, 2-stroke and 4-stroke gas engines, hydrostatic systems, electronics, electrical systems, and welding. WHMIS training and a valid driver’s license are required.

DESIRED QUALITIES

Physically fit, punctual, dynamic, versatile, responsible, resourceful, team-oriented, and capable of working with minimal supervision.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Seasonal position with highly competitive compensation.
